My most memorable race moment was outsprinting Michellie Jones (Olympic silver medalist and Hawaii Ironman winner) at a sprint tri. Definitely puked at the finish line. This year my goal is to crush Kevin Weeks and JT at Wildflower.

I first learned about Cal Poly and the Tri Team when I raced Wildflower for the first time my junior year in high school. My mom and I camped right next to the Team in Training tent. The moment I saw the streaking mass run by and through the tent, I knew that I wanted to be apart of the CP Tri family!

Embarrasing moment: At my first swim practice ever, I showed up with board shorts and no goggles. I had no idea.
These past four years, I have spent many hours in and around triathlon. I have enjoyed each and every minute of it (well almost ☺ ). I have made great friends along the way. So many memories! Make the most of your time on the team. Train Hard, Race Fast!

Fun fact: I'm the only officer on the team who has yet to participate in a triathlon! However, I did grow up on the Big Island of Hawaii volunteering yearly at the original Ironman. And, the only reason I was out of last year's competition is because I broke my foot snowboarding. I can't wait to kick some ass this year...given my foot's ability to run.
